There. 45 minutes and many template tweaks later, the blogger is fully integrated with the rest of the site. I'll just let it run for a little while before I generate the link from the home page.

Bother. I just created my first post, and then managed to nuke it before posting. Sigh...

Anyway, I've been toying with the idea of a blog for a while, but finally got off my duff and did it. The impetus being a new list of member blogs at my online writer's group, Hollylisle.com.

The weblog may be the first Internet-based literary form, but what they are and what they do is all over the map. Rebecca Blood has written a good essay that explains what they're about.
